Project Description

Our first collaboration with Humanscale® and Niels Diffrient, the Humanscale Freedom® Chair has sold over 1 million units and continues to be a legendary office seating product. Humanscale Freedom was developed and engineered to be durable, high quality, and be the benchmark for ergonomic office seating. We not only worked hand in hand with both Humanscale and Niels Diffrient during the initial design and development but we continued to improve upon the design and offer new features. As aesthetics changed we worked to continually modify the chairs design. We also engineered mechanisms such as 4D arms to add functionality to the product.

Over 15 years after the Humanscale Freedom development began, we continue to improve the product and support production activities.

The Freedom chair has become such an icon that Niels presented a TED talk about the chair design.
