Project Description

The Humanscale® Computer Mouse House is a simple product design that is packed with innovative ideas. We were posed with the challenge of designing and developing a universal holder where a healthcare professional could stow any mouse. The “house” had to have the ability to be flipped up without the mouse falling out. Our solution is a simple platform that holds a tacky silicone rubber strap that easily grips and conforms to the varying surfaces of mice. The strap can be easily adjusted by a patented system hidden neatly underneath the mouse platform. For use in medical environments the computer mouse house had to be easily cleaned to prevent the spread of germs.

The simple product design is so innovative it received several patents and has been integrated into several of Humanscale Healthcare’s products.
