The Decade Chair from Bludot is available now! Our team at Shea+Latone / Union Design was happy to be part of the design process for this new chair. Before investing in tooling this mono-block plastic chair, Bludot designers relied on our engineering knowledge and FEA analysis to validate its strength.
The analysis of this chair was particularly interesting because of its use of 100% recycled polypropylene. Our team is experienced in analyzing plastic chair parts that have the added complexity of gas assist molding or unique material compositions. Preserving design intent is also at the forefront of all that we do which is evident in the final products gentle curves.
