The Essa Chair by Teknion is here! We are so happy to see all of our hard engineering work come to life in this new task chair designed by Pearson Lloyd and masterfully developed by our team at Shea+Latone / Union Design.
Essa Chair is designed to meet the ongoing trend of softening the office and giving a more resimercial feel to the space. The mechanics of the chair are designed to be hidden creating a less technical looking for what is a very comfortable ergonomic task chair. Our team engineered solutions for the Essa chair design that kept technical details, like fasteners, hidden from site maintaining the purity of the Pearson Lloyd design.
Working alongside the experts at Teknion and Pearson Lloyd we not only engineered the product but also made prototypes to prove out function and refine the aesthetic design. The collaboration has resulted in the Essa Chair design conveying a comforting look and feel while maintaining the pure sculptural shape.
